Advanced: LinkedIn-based contact enrichment

When a webform captures only an email, the agent enriches with LinkedIn name, role and company automatically.

B2B leads often arrive with just an email — and you need to know who they are before responding. The enrichment agent fills the blanks.

How enrichment works

For each new contact captured with a business email, an enrichment agent: (1) extracts the company domain; (2) looks up the company's LinkedIn page; (3) searches for the person's LinkedIn profile within that company; (4) when found with high confidence, populates name, role, location and LinkedIn URL.

Confidence threshold

The agent only writes enriched fields when its confidence exceeds 85%. Below threshold, fields stay blank rather than risk wrong data. A flag tells you which contacts have enrichable-but-low-confidence matches you can manually verify.

Bulk enrichment

For existing thin contacts, run a one-time bulk enrichment from /app/contacts → "Enrich all". The agent processes them in the background and updates only what it can verify.

Privacy

Enrichment uses public LinkedIn data only — no scraping of private profiles. Contacts can request removal of enriched data via your standard data-subject request process.

Tips

  • Enrichment runs as a low-priority background task; new contacts may take 5-30 minutes before showing enriched data.
  • Don't over-rely on enriched roles. Verify with the contact when the deal moves to a high-stakes stage.
