Cookies Policy
This Cookies Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies (collectively, “cookies”) we use on omb.cloud and inside the OMB Cloud AES platform, why we use them, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to remember preferences, to keep you signed in, and (in other contexts) to measure usage or deliver advertising. We also describe related technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which are used by your browser the same way for the purposes described below.
2. What we use today
OMB Cloud uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not currently set analytics, advertising or social-media cookies on omb.cloud. If we ever introduce them, we will update this page and re-prompt your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the platform to work and to keep your account secure. They cannot be disabled because doing so would break sign-in.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
omb_app_v1 |
Session cookie that authenticates a signed-in User and links the browser to the right tenant. Without it the app cannot identify you. | Session (deleted when the browser is closed) | Essential |
remember_token (selector + validator) |
Issued only when you tick “Remember me” at sign-in. Lets you stay signed in across browser restarts. Uses a split selector/validator scheme rotated on every use. | Up to 30 days from last use | Essential |
PHPSESSID (when set) |
Server-side session handle used by certain pages and APIs. | Session | Essential |
2.2 Local storage we use (not cookies, but similar)
The following items are stored by your browser using localStorage. They never leave your device, are not transmitted to our servers, and are not shared with third parties. They store user-interface preferences and the cookie-banner state itself.
| Key | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
omb_cookie_consent_v1 |
Records that you have seen and dismissed the cookie banner so we don’t show it again. Includes a version number so we can re-prompt if this policy changes. | Essential |
be_view, nav_state and similar |
Your in-app UI preferences (grid density, collapsed nav, etc.). They survive across sessions for convenience. | Functional |
2.3 Cookies we do NOT use
- Analytics — we do not run Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Plausible or any equivalent on omb.cloud.
- Advertising — no Meta Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight or other ad-network tags.
- Social — no Facebook/X/LinkedIn social-share embeds that drop third-party cookies.
3. Third-party CDNs and resources
The marketing site loads a small number of public assets from third-party content delivery networks (Bootstrap CSS, GSAP, Google Fonts). These providers may log your IP address as part of normal HTTP traffic but, on our pages, they are configured so they do not set tracking cookies on your device. We periodically review this configuration.
4. How to control cookies
- Browser controls: all major browsers let you delete or block cookies. See the help docs for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to OMB Cloud.
- Reset your consent: open your browser console on omb.cloud and run
OMBConsent.reset(), or clear site data for omb.cloud. The cookie banner will appear again on next visit. - Opt-out signals: we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where applicable, even though we don’t currently sell or share personal data.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add new categories of cookies (for example, analytics or marketing), we will update this page, bump the consent version, and prompt you again before any non-essential cookie is set. Material changes will also be notified inside the product.
