Connecting email and calendar makes the CRM timeline auto-populate from real conversations and meetings — no manual logging.
Email connection (Gmail or Outlook)
- Go to
/app/email(Email Hub). - Click "Connect account" and choose your provider.
- Complete OAuth — grant read/send access to your business email account.
- Map which folders OMB Cloud should ingest (typically Inbox and Sent).
Once connected, any email to/from a known contact lands on the contact's and lead's timelines. Emails from unknown senders create a draft contact you can confirm or discard.
Calendar connection
- Go to
/app/calendar. - Click "Connect" for Google Calendar or Microsoft 365.
- OAuth grants OMB Cloud the right to read your calendar and create events.
- Select which calendars to sync (typically your primary work calendar).
Events with known contact emails as attendees auto-link to those contacts. Booking pages create events directly on your synced calendar.
Privacy
You control what OMB Cloud reads. The email connector can be scoped to a specific label (e.g., "OMB-Sync") so personal email never enters the CRM. Disconnect any time from the same screen.
Tips
- Use a dedicated "OMB" label in Gmail for emails you want auto-logged — keeps personal correspondence out.
- Calendar sync is bidirectional: events created in the CRM appear on your calendar within 30 seconds.
- The AI scheduling agent reads your synced availability to propose meeting times to prospects automatically.
