OMB Cloud AES

Connect a Gmail account to the Email Hub

OAuth-based Gmail connection with optional label scoping for privacy.

The Gmail connector uses Google OAuth 2.0 — OMB Cloud never sees your password, and you can revoke access from your Google account at any time.

Steps

  1. Open /app/email → "Connect account" → "Gmail".
  2. Sign in to your Google account in the OAuth popup.
  3. Review scopes: OMB Cloud requests read of selected labels and send-as permission.
  4. Approve. The connector verifies access and lists your labels.
  5. Choose which labels to ingest. Recommended: Inbox + Sent. Optional: a dedicated label like "OMB-Sync".

Label scoping for privacy

To keep personal Gmail out of the CRM, create a Gmail filter that applies an "OMB-Sync" label only to business-relevant emails. Then in OMB Cloud, sync only that label. Personal email never enters the system.

What gets logged

For each ingested message: sender, recipients, subject, body, attachments, timestamp. Activities are attached to the contact (auto-matched by email) and to any related lead.

Common issues

  • OAuth fails: usually a Google Workspace admin policy. Ask your Workspace admin to allow OMB Cloud in the Marketplace.
  • Labels not appearing: labels created after the initial connection require a re-sync — click "Refresh labels" in account settings.
  • Slow first sync: the connector backfills 30 days of history; large inboxes can take an hour. Subsequent sync is near-real-time.
