Sharing availability without leaking sensitive meeting details is a balance. These five practices nail it.
1. "Free/busy" sharing only
OMB Cloud only reads free/busy slots — never event titles or details. Prospects see "10:00-10:30 unavailable" without learning what the meeting is about.
2. Separate work and personal calendars
Sync only your work calendar to OMB Cloud. Personal events on a separate calendar never touch the booking page.
3. Pre-block focus time
Create recurring "Focus" events on your work calendar. The booking page automatically respects them. Don't leave focus time to negotiate after the fact.
4. Distinct booking pages per audience
One generic "Book a meeting" page invites unqualified scheduling. Have a "Discovery call" for prospects and a "Customer review" for existing clients — each with its own routing, duration and questions.
5. Round-robin for shared inboxes
For sales@ or support@ booking, use round-robin assignment. Avoid the senior rep absorbing every meeting; junior reps need at-bats too.
