Embedded Web Forms

Place an AES capture form on any website with one script tag, with full attribution and no intermediate storage.

1. Overview

Embedded Web Forms place an AES capture form on any website with a single script tag. Submissions land directly in the customer’s AES environment, with full attribution of page, campaign and referrer, and no intermediate storage.

2. Embedding

<div data-omb-webform="your-form-slug"></div>
<script src="https://omb.cloud/embed/webform.js" async></script>

The script reads every element carrying data-omb-webform and renders the form defined for that slug. Multiple forms may appear on the same page.

3. Configuration

Field definitions, labels, validation, language and styling are configured in AES and served at render time. Changing a form does not require touching the host site.

AttributeDescription
data-omb-webformForm slug. Required.
data-omb-localeOverrides the form language for this instance.
data-omb-sourceOverrides the recorded source. Defaults to the host page URL.
data-omb-campaignCampaign attribution. Falls back to UTM parameters on the page.

4. Attribution

Each submission records the host page URL, the referrer, and any UTM parameters present. Where the customer operates several locations, the destination unit is resolved at submission time and travels with the record.

5. Events

The script emits browser events so the host site can react without polling.

document.addEventListener('omb:webform:ready',   e => { /* e.detail.slug */ });
document.addEventListener('omb:webform:submit',  e => { /* before send  */ });
document.addEventListener('omb:webform:success', e => { /* e.detail.id  */ });
document.addEventListener('omb:webform:error',   e => { /* e.detail.msg */ });

Use omb:webform:success to fire a conversion tag or redirect to a thank-you page.

6. Privacy and consent

The embed sets no advertising cookies and performs no cross-site tracking. Consent text and links are part of the form definition, so they stay consistent wherever the form is placed.

7. Delivery

Submissions are recorded in AES immediately. Where the customer has configured it, they are also pushed onward through the Lead Delivery Webhook.
